There is no error message or anything, just does not connect. Also, I have verified the security settings are set to WPAAny tweak suggestions for the laptop? Since the Trendnet Utility would not open, I went back to the site and downloaded all of the driver versions then installed them in order of oldest to newest. Apparently there was a file missing in one of the older updates that wasn't included in the last update. But when I try to open the utility nothing happens.

The router does show up under the wireless network list for the 2.4G band along with some of the neighbors routers.
Either way, the email will usually show up in your Spam folder, so be sure you filter it correctly.
What I suggest doing, rather than actively blocking sites, is to set yourself up a Gmail filter that scans your logs for certain keywords and then stars them.
